Things I am thankful for on this Thanksgiving Day:
my beautiful dog Snoop who continues to show me how easy it is to love someone so unconditionally. my brother Saba, who will always be the one person I feel most comfortable with. my boyfriend Michael, who makes me feel so confident in my own skin and who always talks me through all my emotional funks, puts up with my anthro talks and letting me know how he will always be my #1. my bestest friends mollie and abbey who can always, always put the biggest smile on my faces. my parents who continue to support me with all of my endeavors. my job at anthropologie, because everyone knows I would be spending all my free time there even if I wasn't getting paid for the job. my strong work ethic. this beautiful weather. all my art and craft projects that I am oh so proud to hang on my walls. mcdonald's big macs because they always put me in a better mood (don't judge me). great music. this blog and all its readers. and lastly, my health.

So if I haven't already informed you guys, I am working part-time at Anthropologie and completely and utterly love it :) I was browsing around the store the other day and came across the most amazing coffee table book that I have to share!!

The book, Creative Walls: How to Display and Enjoy Your Treasured Collections, is by Geraldine James and runs for about $29.95. And I am obsessed with collecting coffee table books, so I think this will be the perfect addition to my collection.

Dipped Legs

I have seen this idea a few times in the past year, but for some reason I am super inspired by dipped legged furniture today!! I especially love the pink chair in the second photo because it's the only "dipped" chair in the bunch. I think it adds some spunk and uniqueness to the table.

DIY ottoman poufs

I'm excited to share with you guys my newest craft project! I fell in love with the ottomans at Anthropologie, but I couldn't afford them at $198 a piece.

My two favorites out of the bunch were these two:

I just LOVE the colors and I think that they would make a great addition to any room. And knowing me, I really enjoy adding that extra splash of color so I just knew I had to have these somehow.

And after some deliberation, I decided to find my own fabric and poufs and have my mom sew an ottoman together for me. My first stop was Ikea, where I found some poufs on sale for only $14.99!

Then, I did some fabric hunting. I visited a few fabric stores in Atlanta and ended up finding the pink and yellow one at Forsyth Fabrics.

Here is the final product of that one:

And note: I'm sorry for the bad picture quality, my camera is dead so I had to use the one on my computer!!

Anyways, I really like the way this one turned out. It's elegant but still has that poppy bright feel to it. This fabric was a bit pricier at $20 per yard and I ended up spending about $55 total on the ottoman.

My next task was finding another fabric that really caught my eye. I couldn't find any attention-grabbing ones at the two stores I went to, so I decided to look online.

I read the description of the Anthropologie ones and saw that they were made of African Dutch Wax Fabric. To my surprise, after a few google searches of that fabric, I quickly found the EXACT fabric Anthropologie used!!!!! Needless to say, I was ecstatic :)))))

And at only $8.95 per yard, this was a steal. Here is the final product of that pouf:

Now I just need to figure out where I am going to put them! For now, they will be sitting side by side in my room:

These pictures from the Free People shoot in Venice are absolutely STUNNING. They have done it again and I am loving EVERYTHING about this <3 <3 <3 The clothes, the models, the location, the atmosphere, the photographs are all perfection. I can't wait to see the actual lookbook come out!
